Fearful & Anxious Patients
Sedation Dentistry
At Galion Dental Partners, we offer nitrous sedation, completely safe treatment for patients who face extreme dental anxiety.
Most people know nitrous sedation by its more popular name: “laughing gas.”
Nitrous oxide is mixed with oxygen and is inhaled through a small mask that is fit over your mouth and nose. The effects of nitrous sedation help you feel calm and comfortable during your dental exam. It will not put you to sleep, and you will be able to hear and respond to questions and directions from our dental team.
Typically, the most common effects of laughing gas include light-headedness and tingling in the arms and legs. These feelings will dissipate shortly after the mask has been removed.
